A guide to MCP ↗
What is an MCP server?+

An MCP server gives your AI assistant access to a tool or data source through the Model Context Protocol: files, databases, APIs and more.

How do I install one?+

Open a server page, select your client and copy its configuration. Add your own credentials where needed, follow the client’s install guide and review the permissions before connecting.

Is MCPNav free?+

The directory, installation guides and config generator are free. Individual servers and their connected services may have their own pricing.

Does a listing mean a server is safe?+

No. Check the publisher, source code and requested permissions. Official, Reference and Community labels describe provenance; they are not a security audit.
