For MCP server maintainers
If you publish an MCP server, there is a good chance it already has a page here. This page covers the three things maintainers usually want: a badge for your README, a way to correct your entry, and the facts about how this directory works and gets paid. Everything on this page is free unless marked otherwise.
1. Add a “Listed on MCPNav” badge to your README
Each server page has a shields-style badge at mcpnav.net/badge/<your-slug>.svg. Find your slug in your listing's URL (/server/<your-slug>/) and paste this into your README:
[](https://mcpnav.net/server/YOUR-SLUG/)Want the badge to show your GitHub star count? Append ?stars=1 to the badge URL. That is the whole API — the badge is a plain SVG you can also open in a browser to preview.
2. Correct your listing (free, verified)
Registry data is machine-normalised and can be wrong about your project. Claim your page to get a Verified badge and correct the description, icon and links: the claim process verifies that you control the repository or domain — it is free and has no quota. For anything else (removals, takedowns, dead links), email support@mcpnav.net.
3. Optional: sponsor placement
If you want more visibility, the directory sells a small number of labelled placements — Featured list slots, category-page sponsor cards and fixed-term promoted positions. Every paid placement is marked Sponsored, uses rel="sponsored" links, and never changes your listing itself or the ranked shortlists. Paid promotion is separate from the free community boost on the feedback board, which is a user vote that money cannot buy. Details and current availability: the sponsor page (hello@mcpnav.net). Free listing and claiming are unaffected — most maintainers never need to pay for anything.
Where the data comes from
Server entries, descriptions and install methods come from the public MCP Registry and are re-synced daily. Stars, last-push dates and licenses are fetched from each project's GitHub repository. Corrections made through a verified claim are stored separately and never overwritten by the sync.
FAQ
How do I get listed in the first place?
You don't apply to exist here. Every server in the public MCP Registry gets a page automatically, and the directory re-syncs with the registry daily. If your server is missing, the fastest fix is to make sure it is registered in the official registry; you can also nudge us via the submit page.
Can you take my page down?
Yes. Email support@mcpnav.net with the page URL and your relationship to the project and we will remove it.
Does paying change anything about my listing?
No. Sponsorship (optional, see below) only buys placement with a Sponsored label. It never changes whether or how your server is listed, and it never affects the Best-of-MCP shortlists, whose selection rule is published on every page.
