Sponsor MCPNav

MCPNav is a directory of 21,839+ MCP server pages. Sponsorship buys placement — never inclusion — and every paid slot is clearly labelled Sponsored. The same offers are described on the advertise page; this page carries the detail and the numbers.

Traffic source: Google Search Console property sc-domain:mcpnav.net, Oct 8–14, 2026 (impressions and clicks are the totals Google returns for that window). Page count: site data, October 18, 2026. On-site visits and outbound-link clicks: first-party cookieless measurement — enabled October 18, 2026, not enough history to report yet.

Founding sponsor pilot

First 30 days free

Prices are being set from data rather than estimated, so the pilot runs before the price list exists:

  • ▸ First 30 days free — no payment, no invoice, no card.
  • ▸ You get an outbound-click report for your placement: clicks from your sponsored card to your repo or site, counted first-party and cookieless (page path + destination domain only — no IP, no user agent, no cookie).
  • ▸ In exchange we ask permission to quote your feedback (with attribution) once the pilot ends. Quoting is optional per sponsor and asked in writing.
  • ▸ Pricing for all three placements is set after the pilot, from the actual click data collected during it. No price is published now and nothing on this page is an offer at a specific price.

Who we can describe as our audience

Search Console is the only source we publish audience claims from, and it attributes a minority of impressions to visible queries. In Oct 8–14, 2026:

Google exposes query text for only 17% of our impressions, so every query-level figure below describes that visible slice only — not total traffic.

  • ▸ 261 queries attributable, 500 impressions (17% of the site total — query text for the other 83% of impressions is not exposed by Google). Query-level figure — 17% visibility only.
  • ▸ 290 attributed impressions (58% of attributed) came from queries containing "mcp". Query-level figure — 17% visibility only.
  • ▸ 274 attributed impressions came from queries naming a specific product plus "mcp" (e.g. a server or brand name), as opposed to generic "best mcp" research queries. Query-level figure — 17% visibility only.
  • ▸ Devices, same window: 2,565 desktop (87%), 353 mobile (12%), 16 tablet (1%).

We do not publish occupation, seniority, intent scores or persona labels — we have no data for them. Once the first-party click data has 14 full days, this section gains outbound-click figures and the media kit is updated to match.

Featured list slot

Sponsored

Your server appears in the Featured list that runs on the homepage and across the directory, with a Featured badge — carrying a visible Sponsored label and a rel="sponsored" link. Limited slots; rotation is monthly when there is a queue.

Pricing: being finalised — free for the first 30 days of the founding pilot.

Category-page sponsor slot

Sponsored

A Sponsored card pinned at the top of one category page (for example Databases, Browser Automation or Search & Research), linking to your repo or site with a rel="sponsored" attribute. One sponsor per category page.

Pricing: being finalised — free for the first 30 days of the founding pilot.

Promoted position

Sponsored

Moves your listing up within its category list for a fixed term. Promoted listings stay labelled, rank no higher than position 10, and never displace organically ranked entries from the top 10.

This is a paid placement. It is unrelated to the community boost on the feedback board, which is a user vote: posting on two different days moves a server up one place, and no payment is involved there.

Pricing: being finalised — free for the first 30 days of the founding pilot.

What we will not do

  • ▸ Sell inclusion. Listing is free and always will be; payment never decides whether a server appears.
  • ▸ Disguise ads as editorial content. Every paid placement is labelled Sponsored, always.
  • ▸ Take money for removing or suppressing a listing.
  • ▸ Let payment influence the Best-of-MCP lists — their selection rule is published on every list page.

FAQ

What can I sponsor?

Three placements: a slot in the Featured list that appears site-wide, a Sponsored slot at the top of one category page, and a promoted position that moves your listing up within its category list. Details and availability by email.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is being finalised and is not published yet. During the founding sponsor pilot the first 30 days are free, you receive an outbound-click report for your placement, and the price that follows is set from that click data. Nothing on this page is an offer at a specific price.

Are paid placements marked?

Yes. Every paid placement carries a visible "Sponsored" label and a rel="sponsored" link attribute, as Google requires for paid links. No disguised ads, ever.

Does paying affect my listing or reviews?

No. Listing in the directory is free and always will be — every server from the public MCP Registry can have a page. Payment only affects placement and presentation, never inclusion, and we do not remove or suppress listings for money.

What do you know about your audience?

Only what we can measure — and every query-level number here comes with its limit: Google exposes query text for just 17% of our impressions, so these figures describe that visible slice, not total traffic. In the week of Oct 8–14, 2026 Google Search Console attributes 261 queries to us (17% visibility), 290 of 500 attributed impressions from queries containing "mcp" (17% visibility) and 274 from queries naming a specific product plus "mcp" (17% visibility). We publish no demographic or persona claims — no "developer-heavy" or "high-intent" labels — because we have no survey data behind them. Device split for the same window is 87% desktop, 12% mobile, 1% tablet, from Search Console.
