MCPNav

MCP config generator

Building a setup with several MCP servers? Pick your client, search the directory and check the servers you want — you get one complete, copy-paste config file (or claude mcp add commands) with API-key placeholders for anything that needs a key. Formats follow each client's official docs — see the MCPNav-in-Claude page for the directory's own MCP server.

FAQ

Which clients are supported?

Claude Desktop (claude_desktop_config.json), Claude Code (claude mcp add commands), Cursor (.cursor/mcp.json), VS Code (.vscode/mcp.json — top-level key is servers) and Windsurf (mcp_config.json). Remote (HTTP) and local (stdio) servers are formatted separately per client.

What about servers that need an API key?

Required keys appear as <YOUR_KEY> placeholders directly in the generated config, and the list under it tells you where to get each key. Nothing is invented: key names come from the server's public registry manifest.

Does this store anything?

No. Everything runs in your browser; server data is read from MCPNav's public static files.
